This is where the most photographed moments of the entire day happen, the vows, the first kiss, the recessional. It's worth spending more here than on, say, the escort card table, which most guests glance at for ten seconds on their way to find a seat.

3. One statement moment

Rather than spreading decor evenly across the whole reception, pick one genuine statement piece, an elaborate floral installation over the bar, a dramatic hanging installation over the dance floor, a striking cake, and let everything else be simpler by comparison. One real showstopper reads as more intentional than a room where everything is competing for attention at the same medium level.
