Most couples spend somewhere between fifty and two hundred dollars per person, depending on overall wedding budget and how many people are in the party. Larger wedding parties often mean a smaller per-person gift simply because the total adds up fast.

What should move the number

• Whether they're also covering costs (outfits, travel) for your wedding, which might mean scaling the gift down a little in fairness to your own budget
• How much of a role they took on, a maid of honor who organized the shower might reasonably get something a bit more than a bridesmaid with a lighter role
• Your overall wedding budget, this line item should scale with everything else, not exist in isolation

It doesn't need to be one thing per person

A modest individual gift paired with a shared group experience (a dinner, a spa morning) often lands better than trying to make one gift do all the emotional work, and it can cost less overall too.
