A wedding-day skincare timeline that starts months out, not the week before

A common and understandable instinct is to ramp up skincare effort as the wedding gets closer, which sometimes means trying new, more intensive treatments right when there's the least room for something to go wrong. A longer runway, with less experimentation close to the date, tends to produce better results with less risk.

Three to six months out: this is when to experiment

If you want to try a new skincare routine, a facial series, or address a specific concern (texture, pigmentation, breakouts), this window gives enough time to see real results and enough buffer to course-correct if something doesn't agree with your skin.

One month out: lock in what's working, stop trying new things

This is the point to stick with your established routine rather than introducing anything new. A reaction to a new product a month out is a manageable problem; a reaction the week of is a much harder one.

The final week: minimal, protective, nothing new

Hydration, sleep, and sticking to your normal routine matter more here than any product. This is also the week to avoid a first-time facial, a new exfoliant, or any treatment with a real risk of irritation or an unpredictable reaction.
